Dan and the team at North Hollywood Auto Repair are great! Problems and possible solutions are explained clearly, so I always feel like I understand what’s going on at each step of the process. Highly recommend!

Dan runs a great shop and John is the best. Imagine an auto repair place that's very good at what they do AND honest with their customers. I initally found them because I had a rattle in my exhaust system. I took to to another place and they told me that a part needed to be repalced near the manifold for about $600. After reading the other great reviews, I took it to N. Hollywood Auto. They checked it out and told me it was just a loose bolt. It was way up in the engine but it only cost me $60. Enough said.

Dan has to be the last honest mechanic and runs a shop that does great work, has reasonable prices, communicates well and sets the standard to which all other should be compared. (And they're just nice guys.) He has worked on all of my family members' vehicles for years, ranging from plug-in hybrid EVs to minivans to 600-hp beasts, foreign and domestic, late model and just off warranty, heavily computerized and basic econoboxes alike. I never write these kinds of reviews, but am compelled to, though I know it will only make it even more busy there. Still, I hope it helps, and to you reading this: with all sincerity this is the shop you've probably been looking for; they will earn your trust and you will see over time that your dollars are well spent here.

We've been using North Hollywood Auto for years because they are always very honest and have fair pricing. We came home from vacation and my hybrid car was dead. Dan gave me the options and said he thought he would be able to recharge the electric battery. A few days later it was all fixed, he saved us from having to pay thousands to replace a hybrid battery. I can't recommend them enough.

Dan is very knowledgeable, courteous and straight to the point. So are the rest of the staff. Service was done quickly, cleanly and with no fuss or bother. Truly excellent.

This shop is always reasonable & transparent about the issues with my car. Their customer service & repair service is truly top notch! Dan broke things down to me like I’m a fifth grader and that’s what I needed to understand what was going on with my car. Highly recommend them!
