Jack and the staff at North Hollywood Auto Repair have been my mechanics for about 10 years now, and even after a couple of accidents and years of long commutes over the hill, my 12 year old car is still in very good shape because of these guys. As noted, they are a little bit on the expensive side, but when it comes to car repair, I feel like you get what you pay for, you know? I'd rather pay a bit more and feel secure that it has been done right the first time. That said, they are really good about explaining in detail what they are doing, getting permission before they do it, and they always tell me if there is something that can wait (which my checkbook appreciates). Dependable, honest, professional, and good mechanics.

Short Version: Trust them with your car.Long Version: Since moving to L.A., I have found no better mechanics than the folks at this shop. They really know about cars, including all the how's and why's. They constantly update their equipment and technology to stay current and keep their mechanics current as well. These folks know what they're doing and what they're talking about. They are Triple A rated and have fair prices. Plus, they're open on Saturday. What more can you ask? I absolutely trust them and will go to them until I finally upgrade to a hovercraft. And even then, I'm confident they'll be able to do the work on that, too. Check'em out!

I have to say that yes...noho auto repair prices are higher, but you pay for honest, good service. My girlfriend has been going there for 4 years, and when my VW recently broke down, what the VW dealership wanted to charge me was almost double of what noho auto repair charged. On top of that, with the money that you pay, you are given a guarantee on parts and labor.
