On the recommendation of a friend, I took my new-to-me car in to have it looked over and develop a maintenance plan. Saeed was cordial, helpful, and efficient. The premises were clean (taking car oil into account!), the employees seemed purposeful and diligent. This was a "Look-See" appointment rather than a scheduled repair, so I knew they'd work my car in as they could. I chose to hang out at a nearby coffee shop (rather than schlepp into LA and back on the bus) and I felt that they respected my time. Jack called right before lunchtime with a status report, saying that they had completed the inspection except for the rear wheels because the lug nuts were locked, and did I have a key? (Um, key? No...). I opted to wait so they could bust the lug nuts off after lunch and get a complete picture of my car's status. This added an hour and forty minutes to my hang out time, but I preferred to do that rather than come back later or leave the inspection incomplete. My point is that they gave ME the choice about how my time and money would be spent. I always appreciate that. When I returned, Jack gave me a detailed, prioritized list of maintenance so that I could plan my next step. He put safety issues at the top of the list, and gave approximate time frames (i.e. an educated guess of how soon it would need to be done) for the others. In short, exactly what I asked for. Because my job is new and my car isn't, I'll have to come back every month or so as I can afford to work my way through the itemized list, and I felt that they respect my need to do it that way. They provided me with the Quality Information I need, and I feel very comfortable with the relationship we're establishing. I was very impressed.
